The most important contact points of the FH OÖ

The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria consists of four faculties at the locations Hagenberg, Linz, Steyr and Wels. Each location has a focus and offers corresponding degree programmes:

  • Hagenberg: Informatics, Communication and Media
  • Linz: Medical Engineering & Applied Social Sciences
  • Steyr: Business & Management
  • Wels: Engineering

The management is located in Wels and headed by Dr. Gerald Reisinger.

Each faculty is headed by a dean, the individual degree programmes or departments by department or degree programme heads or coordinators.

At all locations there is an administration, a dean’s assistant and in each degree programme there are programme assistants who take care of the organisation and welfare of the students.

Other facilities at all locations are the libraries and the International Offices, as well as the IT Services.

Student representation

Gender and Diversity Management Conference

The Austrian Student Union (ÖH) is the representative body for all students and is divided into three sections: Student Representation (representatives of one field of study), University Representation (representatives of an entire university) and Federal Representation (Austria-wide representation). The ÖH is directly elected by all students every two years and is the students’ mouthpiece towards universities and politics.

The Gender & Diversity Management Conference (GDM-C) is an advisory body founded in 2008, consisting of FH Oberösterreich employees from different areas from all four faculties. In this respect, the GDM-C is an important contact point for our students on all topics relating to diversity and equality and offers information and advice on a wide range of areas.
