Hagenberg

by Bus

Hagenberg is easily accessible by public bus from Linz, most buses run directly via the highway with correspondingly short travel times. If you come to Linz by train, you can change directly at the main train station (bus station), e.g. to bus line 311 to Hagenberg.

On this website you will also find the order forms for semester and annual tickets for students, which you can apply for online. by Rail

Hagenberg is located along the Linz-Budweis-Prague railroad line. The nearest train station (distance approx. 4 km) is Pregarten. The journey time from Linz (main station) to Pregarten is approx. 45 min. There is a bus connection between Pregarten and Hagenberg.

Linz

by Bus

Linz Central Station is located right in the city center with direct connections to all public transport. You can easily plan your journeys with the ÖBB timetable. If you are coming from the main station, you can take bus number 19 and get off at “Linz/Donau Prinz-Eugen-Straße”. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Linz has a well-developed public transportation network with three streetcar lines and several trolleybus and bus lines (electronic timetable information).

If you use public transport regularly, we recommend purchasing multiple-journey tickets or annual, monthly or weekly tickets. (ticket overview of Liny Linien).

Linz Central Station is the main railway station and is located right in the city centre with direct connections to all public transport. You can easily plan your journeys with the ÖBB timetable.

If you need the train for your regular journeys to the FH, it is advisable to get one of the ÖBB advantage cards or annual, monthly or weekly tickets. (Liny Linien ticket overview)

Steyr

by Bus

Steyr is easily accessible by bus from Linz and the neighbouring towns. The bus terminal is located directly at the train station. From the train station you can take bus number 4 in the direction of Tabor and get off at “Steyr Frauengasse”. From there, it will only take you 5 minutes to get to the campus.

by Rail

Travelling with the Austrian Federal Railways is possible via Linz or St. Valentin (IC stop). From there, there are direct connections to Steyr every half hour. The best way to reach the FH campus from Steyr railway station is on foot (approx. 10 minutes).

Wels

by Bus

Wels railway station is only 7 minutes away from Campus. For the shortest route, simply leave the main station in the direction of the city center (past the bus station and Bahnhof-City), follow Dr. Schauerstraße until the intersection with Hans-Sachs-Straße, then turn right into Stelzhamerstraße. The FH is on the right-hand side.

Wels has direct train connections with Vienna, Salzburg and Linz. Wels main railway station is just a 7-minute walk from the campus.
